5 of 5 stars to Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh
“The truth was, she loved him, and in a way that wouldn’t allow distance, not even if that distance would save her from pain. He wouldn’t couldn’t, accept her as his mate, but she would give him everything. It was the only way she knew how to be.”
“You’re in my every breath and every thought, intertwined so deep inside me that love’s not a strong enough word—you have my devotion, your name branded on my soul, my wolf yours to command. A hundred years? It’ll never be enough. I want eternity.”
HOLY GOOF BALLS! Kiss of Snow is the mother of all awesome!
I cannot properly express how much I love this book! The story finally took a crazy turn to the inevitable. The ending left me in so much awe! I just have a feeling that from here, the twists will be getting more and more complicated and the secrets will slowly unravel! Even though this is the tenth book in the series, I know there is so much more to come, plenty other stories to tell and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Huge part of why I am crazily hooked to the series is because of the amazing storyline and world building. It has so many original ideas that are balanced and utilized for maximum reading enjoyment. Singh truly is the alpha of this genre.
Hawk and Sienna are such a wonderful characters. The long wait for their story has finally come to end and it is definitely worth waiting! Sienna is such a strong, reliable heroine. She’s different but she’s relatable. You just can’t help but love her for all that she is: smart, extremely astute, loyal to a fault, loving, caring yet stubborn as a bull. Honestly, she’s one of my top fave heroines of all time. I just admire her strength and will to protect and love those she cherishes (oh, btw, her power is knock off your feet amazing). I am floored by the depth of her love for Hawk, for all the things she’s willing to sacrifice for him, for her understanding, for her extreme loyalty even if in the end, she’ll only be second best. For such a young age, she’s become so wise. And Hawk. That damn wolf is just as stubborn as Sienna. They fit each other really well. Their story took so long to brew but it only honed it to a perfectly touching and uplifting love story that tugged at my heartstrings. I’m still feeling the lingering butterflies in my stomach. The feeling is intense as we’ve been having glimpses of their relationship in the earlier books but it always connotes a negative situation wherein they can’t be together. Then we get this, their story, and finally, everything falls into place.
This book truly deserves 5 stars not only because of Sienna and Hawk but because of the inclusion of the other couples from the previous books as well. In here, everyone gets their happy ending (for now), we get updates to the other couple’s lives. Quite frankly, this book is one fluffy collection of happily mated couples with funny banters thrown here and there. Such bliss! But, of course, there are emotional aspects as well that even made it more amazing.
I actually want to say more about this book but I couldn’t really find the right words that would succinctly express my feels. I’m in euphoria and this book is to blame.
