After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different… And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger… and they know it.

“You haven’t been smiling much. I missed it, so I decided to reward you for doing it.” “Reward me?” I laughed. “God, only you would think kissing someone is a reward.” “You know it is. My lips change lives, baby.”

Holy hell that was an intense ending. I’m all for the plot progression more than the romance in this series. Things are getting so exciting. Although the book needs some more vigilant editing as some things don’t match. A bit of a warning, statements ahead contain spoilers.

I liked this book the most. That last scene at the end was just chilling. And damn when Katy was trapped on the “wrong side” of the tunnel. I’m like, “what the duck!”

And, oh, I so want Blake dead! Ugh! Kill that bastard please. Also I’m a little confused about some minor details like the placement of the opal. Before the group left for Mount I forgot the name, Daemon put the opal-necklace on Katy but when they went through the tunnels, it was mentioned that it’s in her pocket. I let it slide cause she may have removed it and pocketed it but then Simon attacked, things got busy, and Blake surreptitiously tugged it from her neck??? Wasn’t she just feeling it in her pocket some time ago? Anyway, that’s it. This book’s ending is so cliffy like if I don’t have the next book I’ll prolly get agitated but good thing I have it so booya!
