Here’s a few of my recommendations in case you’ve run out of things to watch.
1. Lost in Space
A wholesome Netflix show that follows the life of The Robinsons family as they navigate the universe. Here’s a more thorough review of the show.
After crash-landing on an alien planet, the Robinson family fight against all odds to survive and escape, but they’re surrounded by hidden dangers.
Starring: Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Maxwell Jenkins, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, Ignacio Serricchio, Parker Posey, etc.
2. The Society
A show that works like a social experiment, wherein teens run a society without parental supervision and with no outside contact whatsoever. They’re all on their own.
When everyone else mysteriously vanishes from their wealthy town, the teen residents of West Ham must forge their own society to survive.
Starring: Kathryn Newton, Gideon Adlon, Sean Berdy
3. The Mist
A Stephen King classic if you wanna get spooked and mindf*cked at the same time.
After an eerie mist rolls into a small town, the residents must battle the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain their morality and sanity.
Starring: Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney
4. The 100
Another post-apocalyptic show featuring teens but this time it has a bit of parental supervision (but not by much); a show that bars no holds when it comes to playing with your emotions. A wild ride.
Set ninety-seven years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, when a spaceship housing humanity’s lone survivors sends one hundred juvenile delinquents back to Earth, in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet.
Starring: Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos
Witty banters, song covers galore, romantic relationships—all set in high-school. It’s one solid entertainment perfect to ease your quarantine boredom.
A group of ambitious misfits try to escape the harsh realities of high school by joining a glee club.
Starring: Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison
6. Gilmore Girls
Just in case you haven’t seen this classic.
A dramedy centering around the relationship between a thirty-something single mother and her teen daughter living in Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
Starring: Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Keiko Agena
7. Gossip Girl
A series about the crazy rich elite of New York Upper East Side.
Privileged teens living on the Upper East Side of New York can hide no secret from the ruthless blogger who is always watching.
Starring: Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley
I know, it’s mainstream. But it’s a top-notch anime and if you’re new to anime, this is a good start. Besides, it’s available on Netflix so you can easily stream.
High school student Kurosaki Ichigo is unlike any ordinary kid because he can see ghosts. After an accident with a hollow, he got a power.So begins Kurosaki Ichigo’s training and duty as a Shinigami, Soul Reaper.
9. Oh My Ghost
One of my favorite k-dramas. Funny, a little spooky, exciting and of course, romantic. Everything I need in my k-drama is here.
Timid Na Bong Sun gets possessed by the ghost of a confident young woman who seeks to solve her one unfinished business by hooking up with Bong Sun’s boss, famous chef Kang Sun Woo.
Starring: Park Bo-Young, Jo Jung-suk, Lim Ju-hwan
10. Fight For My Way
A drama for all the confused 20s out there.
Ko Dong Man, a high school Taekwondo champion who is now pursuing a career in the UFC, and Choi Ae Ra, a dynamic girl whose desire is to become a famous announcer, have been best friends since childhood. Now, they have to confront the change in their feelings towards each other as well as overcome difficulties to make their dreams come true.
Starring: Park Seojoon, Kim Jiwon, Ahn Jaehong, Song Hayoon
